This thesis explores the seven deadly sins—pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, and sloth—through an aesthetic rather than moral lens. Traditionally rooted in religious and cultural discourse, these sins have long been viewed as the source of human vice and spiritual downfall.

Krithika challenges this conventional narrative by exploring the beauty, complexity, and allure of indulgence without the burden of guilt. Each sin is interpreted symbolically through a distinct visual language, drawing on elements of nature, colour, texture, and form.

Rather than portraying the sins as purely negative, the project considers them as reflections of human desire, emotion, and behaviour. Through this exploration, Krithika questions the boundaries between virtue and vice, inviting the viewer to reconsider the ways in which indulgence, temptation, and human nature can be expressed through beauty.
